The man had an indian accent and suggested his name was Agent David Brown from the Australian Tax Office, that they had recently conducted an Audit of my tax returns from 2008 - 2013, and that there was a discrepancy, that I owed them money.
I made it clear that ATO writes official letters relating to these matters, and that I would need to see complete official documentation first before I even contemplated such a discussion on the phone.
