Received a call from a scammer who claimed they were calling about two transactions on my Visa card—one for $300 from eBay and another for $1,300 from a foreign transfer. This was clearly a fraudulent attempt to extract personal information.
I received a robocall from a company claiming there was unusual activity on my Commonwealth Bank account. The issue is that the phone number calling me is not associated with any legitimate business; it's only connected to my VoIP provider and my wife. I don't even have an account with Commonwealth Bank.
The person who called me knew my name, but I do not recognize them at all. This makes me uncomfortable and cautious.
