    I met him on meetme, he said he's in Melbourne winding up his partnership in a jewellery shop 'dynamic smiths' which was never 'listed' because his business partners ex wife was nasty, reason business is closing...... Because partner found his new wife to be in NZ so he's moved off over there, although business was never registered, apparently, this week the books are being 'audited'.... He also stated that he's from Scotland, but was born in Germany..... I reverse se ached the 2 photos he sent...... Those same photos have been used in many other scams, mostly in USA.... Although the site does say this is possibly a Telstra number...... Wish we could put photos up here to share!

    I am getting attention from him - he says he is winding up a jewellers store in Chapel Hill in NSW. Of course the deal has fall on its ear and his partner has ripped him off for about A$80.000!!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
