    Got a call from this number after enquiring about internet security software. The trouble is im not very computer savvy and allowed them into my computer (brand new) to download the software for me it was only when he asked me to type out my credit card details that I became suspicious now I can not get into anything on my computer all I can do is log on and thats it cant do a system reboot or anything now my only hope is getting on to the manufacturer and hoping they can help me. These people need to be arrested. So angry and upset.

    Claimed my security software had expired on my PC. I didn't have that brand of software. When I challenged him on the legitimacy of the call he hung up. Seriously dodgy, personally convinced its a scam!

    Had a call, asked who they were, they thought they knew my name, I asked them again who they were, he insisted on confirming my name first, I hung up. No legitimate business would pressure for a confirmed name, Report this organisation, These Criminals are under Federal investigation now and are being tracked. Continue flagging this number.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
